This section provides a whole host of links to organisations in your local area.  They can help with anything from Alcohol to Young Family advice and Vaccinations.

Alcohol

 CRI  CRI is a charity working in both Social Care and Health.  They provide support to individuals with a range of problems usch as drugs, alcohol, domestic abuse and lots more.
   Works with under 18's living in Brighton and Hove with susbtance misuse problems.  They offer confidential and free advice.

Alzheimers

 Alzheimers  The Alzheimers Society works to improve the quality of life of people affected affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Berevement

 Bereavement  Cruse Bereavement gives face-to-face and group support by trained bereavement support volunteers across the UK, after the death of someone close. 
Information, leaflets and support for children is also available.

BME

   BMECP works with diverse BME community organisations
Mosaic  MOSAIC works to combat racism

Carers

   We aim to improve the quality of carers lives.
   We help anyone who cares for a partner, relative or friend, providing information and services as well as activites.
 Crossroads Care  We are the leading provider of support for carers in the UK.

Culture

Evolution Arts  A place to feel inspiration and creativity - a place to explore new skills and activities.

Diabetes

Brighton Diabetes   A Brighton based charity who work Diabetes UK.

Disability

 Meals on Wheels  Traditional hot meals service.  For people who have trouble with shopping, carrying food home or cooking for themselves.
 The Fed  The Fed is a user-led organisation that promotes independent living.

Distress and Despair

Samaritans   There when you need someone to talk to - they dont rush or interrupt.  For whatever you want to talk about.

Domestic Abuse

 The Portal  The Portal helps you find advice and support in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. 

 If you've been affected by domestic or sexual abuse or violence in Brighton & Hove, or East Sussex, get in touch to find out more about the help, advice and support available. 

 In an Emergency call the police on 999. 

 You can also use 101 to give information to the police or make an enquiry.
Rise   RISE is a charity that helps with refuge accomodation, counselling, legal and all sorts of other help are available.

Drugs

CRI   A social care abd health charity organisation, who works with individuals, families and communities.  They cover anyone affected by drugs, alcohol, crime, homelessness, domestic abuse and antisocial behaviour.
Drug Rehab   They aim to be the best resource for drug, alcohol or precription addiction.
Brighton Oasis Project   OASIS are a women-only substance misuse service.  They support women who have a drink or drug related problem, offering a non-judgemental approach.
RU-OK?   They work alongside under 18s whose lives are affected by substance misuse in Brighton and Hove.  They off a free, confidential and expert service and support.

Eating Disorders

MGEDT   Men Get Eating Disorders Too - an award winning national charity, dedicated to supporting the needs of men with eating disorders.

Health

 Health Walks  There are 18 regular walks across the city and lengths range from under a mile, up to three miles.  They are all free and led by volunteer walk leaders.  Public transport is close by.
 Patient.co.uk  Excellent general guide for symptoms, health info and medicine guide.  Used extensively here at the practice by our clinical staff.

Learning Disability

Mencap   Working in partnership with people who have learning disabilities.  Everything they do is about valuing and supporting peole with a learning disability, their families and their carers.

LGBT

 Allsorts  A project based in Brighton to support and empower young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or simply unsure.
 The Gender Trust  A listening ear, caring support and an information centre for anything concerning Gender Identity issues.
LGBT Switchboard   Registered charity providing support for the Brighton and Hove LGBT community.

Mental Health

 Mind  Involved in the development of local mental health services - providers of information on mental health issues.
Rethink Mental Illness   Rethink works to help everyone affected by severe mental illness.
 Richmond Fellowship  Pioneers in social inclusion and recovery - Mental Health is everyone's business and we are all dependent on each other.

Over 65's

Age Concern   They believe that retirement is the door to a whole new life.

Under 25's

Allsorts   A project based in Brighton to support and empower young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or simply unsure.
 BMEYPP  A youth-led project for young people aged 11 to 25 in Brighton and Hove.
The Clock Tower Sanctuary   Providing information, advice and support to young people aged 16 to 25, who are homeless, or insecurely housed.  They offer a friendly space, food, drink, access to computers and internet as well as much more.
DOC Ready   Doc Read helps you get ready for the first time you visit a doctor to discuss your mental health.
 Duke of Edinburgh's  Providing a programme of activities to young people between 14 adn 25.
 dv8  Running courses for young people in music, media fashion and more.

Young Families

 Link Up  Run by a group of parents, they cater for other parents who have children with a range of special educational needs.  their aim is to provide support and a social network for SEN children and their parents.
 Parental Advice  Having a child that is ill can be very scary - working to provide better a better understanding about illnesses, this website is for parents and older children and deals with infections and more.
 Vaccination Schedule  This is a checklist of vaccines that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS and ages at which they should be given.
